Spectator Tips

 

Alcohol Policy

No alcoholic beverages may be served or sold to anyone under the age of twenty-one (21) years.

Bleachers

Bleacher seating will be available on holes #1, #9, #17, and #18.  These will be non-reserved and will be first come, first serve.

Camera Policy

Cameras and phone with cameras are permitted for general spectator use ONLY during the Pro-Am's on Wednesday and Thursday.  Photography is restricted to accredited press with proper credentials during tournament rounds Friday - Sunday.

Concessions

There will be numerous concession stands located throughout the golf course serving a variety of items.  No food or beverage can be brought into the tournament.

First Aid Locations

There will be a front 9 and a back 9 first aid station (Locations TBD).  The main first aid station will be found behind the 18th hole. IF YOU HAVE A MEDICAL EMERGENCY WHILE ON THE GOLF COURSE, NOTIFY A MARSHALL ON ANY HOLE.

Handicap Accessibility

Handicap accessible viewing and restrooms will be found throughout the course during the tournament.

Kids Tickets

Kids 15 and under are admitted free to the tournament when accompanied by a ticketed adult each day of the tournament.

Merchandise

The tournament merchandise trailer will be located just inside the main entry structure.  This trailer will include caps, golf shirts, jackets, t-shirts, golf balls, and more.  Payment options include U.S. Dollars, VISA, AMEX, and MasterCard.

Phones

Spectators are discouraged from bringing cell phones, PDA's, and other portable electronic devices.  If one is required for work or medical reasons, it must be on silent or vibrate mode.

Players

Prohibited Items

The following items CANNOT be brought into the tournament:

  • No cameras (other than Wednesday and Thursday for personal photographic use)
  • No bags or backpacks larger 8" Wide x 8" Tall x 8" Depth in its natural state
  • No cases and/or covers (such as chair or umbrella covers)
  • No signs, posters, and/or banners
  • No televisions and/or radios
  • No food and/or beverages
  • No containers and/or coolers
  • No pets (other than service animals)
  • No metal-spiked golf shoes
  • No noisemaking devices
  • No weapons (regardless of permit, including but not limited to firearms and knives)

Any other items deemed unlawful and/or dangerous by the Champions Tour and/or Tournament Security Personnel is their sole discretion.  Parents with small children are allowed to bring strollers and diaper bags, if needed.  These items are subject to reasonable inspection before entering and/or at anytime during the tournament.

Rain Policy

If it rains any day of the tournament, play will continue as long as it is deemed safe to do so.  All Corporate Hospitality will be open every day rain or shine.  The Champions Tour and the tournament staff will always keep spectators informed at the earliest possible moment of any changes made on this policy based upon situational circumstances.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located around the golf course, mostly adjacent to concession areas.

Television

The Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic will be televised on the Golf Channel (Tape Delayed)

  • Friday 5:30 - 7:30 PM Central Time
  • Saturday 5:30 - 8:30 PM Central Time
  • Sunday 6:00 - 8:30 PM Central Time

Weather Warning and Suspension of Play

The tournament will have a meteorology staff on-site monitoring the possibility of inclement weather.  If inclement weather is approaching, a "Weather Warning" notification will be posted on all electronic scoreboards throughout the course.  When the message appears, spectators are advised to take immediate precaution such as evacuating the bleachers, skyboxes, and hospitality tents as well as open areas, hilltops, isolated trees, golf carts, and wired fences.  If play is suspended, indicated by one of the prolonged air-horn blast, please close your umbrella and seek shelter immediately.  Suspension of play means there is a delay in play, not necessarily a cancellation.

Will Call

Will call will be located at the Main Admissions Gate.  Will Call will be a secure way to leave tickets for use by someone else.  Photo ID will be required at Will Call to pick up tickets
